        Distributors of Eco-Friendly Products

Our mission is to reduce the environmental impact of disposable consumer products by offering consumers eco-friendly alternatives.

Our facilities are amongst the most advanced papermaking facilities in the world. They have the highest technology standards and production capability, and are at the forefront of bagasse product development. The Sugar Cane Paper Company focuses on manufacturing high quality, eco-friendly products.

For several years, The Sugar Cane Paper Company has been developing, testing, and finally perfecting the best way to make tree free, ECF (elemental chlorine free), high quality paper, and tableware from bagasse, the by-product of Sugar Cane processing.

In our fast paced world, Paper, Styrofoam (polystyrene) and plastic packaging has become the standard in many industries, especially the fast food industry. This packaging is petroleum-based, has limited biodegradability, and typically ends up in landfills. Our tree-free, biodegradable Sugar Cane paper and tableware items provide food vendors and companies an eco-friendly alternative that can be recycled or compostable within 90-120 days.

Tree-made paper products accounts for over 90% of the world's paper production and is the largest consumption of our forest resources. These forests provide habitats for flora and fauna as well as the oxygen we breathe. Our tree-free, biodegradable Sugar Cane paper products offer consumers an eco-friendly choice that will help to preserve our forests.

As stewards of our Earth, everyone can help our environment by simply choosing to use eco-friendly products. The Sugar Cane Paper Company is dedicated to giving people and companies a choice in aiding our Earth in their daily lives and businesses without breaking the bank. Our product line is very price competitive compared to current paper made from cutting down trees and petroleum based products. Being Green doesn't mean paying more. The choice is yours.

Why Sugar Cane? The sugar cane process was first used by the Egyptians for producing paper. The process was lost when the technology of using wood fibers was discovered. Using the sugar cane fibers left over from the process of making table sugar, the fibers are woven to create plates, cups, paper products and more. The material of sugar cane compares favorably with the common materials we see on the market today, such as Styrofoam, plastic, and tree made paper. It can withstand heat and is microwaveable.

Sugar cane is a biodegradable product that can renew itself every twelve months. By using sugar cane instead of trees to make paper products, the trees will be saved to preserve our forests.

Sugar cane products are a fast growing trend in Asia and are now reaching the United States. On June 1, 2007 the city of San Francisco passed a law banning the use of Styrofoam products. Food vendors are now required to use biodegradable or recyclable disposable food service ware and to-go containers.

Changing weather patterns, more intense natural disasters, abnormal wildlife behavior, and rising sea levels are all signs of Global Warming. Scientists and government officials are finally speaking out, but can we reverse the trend? Every year more than 900,000,000 million trees are cut down for America's paper mills. Each day the United States throws away enough trash to fill 63,000 garbage trucks. Although great strides have been made to recycle paper, are we doing enough?

At The Sugar Cane Paper Company, we are stepping up and answering the Earth's call for help! Our products ARE an Earth friendly solution.
